WEED WARRIORS and GARDEN FAIRIES!
UFA continues to host gardening events that help restore the health of the land in and around our neighborhood.* Join the good work that your neighbors are doing! Tasks vary, but loppers, shovels, clippers, trowels, and other assorted garden gear is welcome. See the calendar above for times and contacts. Meeting locations are listed below.
Other things to wear and bring — Weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes with a good tread appropriate for walking through a wooded area with uneven surfaces. Long sleeves and pants. Hats and sunglasses are always helpful. Gloves are a must!! Some extra gloves will be available, but sizes are limited. Bug spray and water — even in cooler weather — are recommended. Ivy wash will be available. Bring walking sticks for stability if you have them. Some may be available for use. All participants will be asked to sign in and instructions will be given for clearing targeted invasive species, planting, or clean-up.
